The Institute for Changing Societies in the Mediterranean (SoMuM)

Here, they study the Mediterranean as a connected space at the interface of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They adopt a comparative approach with other regions of the world. They focus on three areas of research: 'Crises and sustainable destabilization', 'Circulation of practices, objects and narratives' and 'Territorial dynamics'.
