- The Prix Jeune Chercheur is awarded to a researcher under the age of 40, and recognizes the new research perspectives they have opened up within their discipline.
- The Special Prize is intended to highlight an outstanding discovery or result obtained by a researcher and/or a research team in a new theme defined by the Department: "Biodiversity, invasive and harmful species: finding solutions in the face of global warming".
