For the fifth year running, Aix-Marseille Université's "Bourse aux projets de culture scientifique" (grant for scientific culture projects) supports scientific culture initiatives arising from research structures. Funded projects are based on ongoing research programs and must be aimed at the general public and schoolchildren.
Eight winners from 25 project submissions
In 2023, 25 candidate projects were received and 8 winners were selected for a total budget of €40,700. This support will go to eight laboratories covering a wide variety of disciplinary fields: sociology, astronomy, medicine, archaeology, law, mathematics and geography:

Support from the scientific culture unit
The mediation formats chosen by the promoters are equally diverse: exhibitions, festivals, video productions, educational tours, art-science encounters, school workshops. Projects will be supported by the Cellule de culture scientifique of the Direction de la recherche et de la valorisation. The projects will be completed in 2023, and the resulting resources will be available on the Science-o-thèque. Resources from past editions of the Bourse aux projets de culture scientifique are available online. A total of 36 projects have benefited from this support since 2019.
