The oceans are the engines of our planet, feeding us, transporting us and regulating our climate. How can we understand their complex mechanisms? How can we anticipate their evolution? A new documentary series, in which amU is a partner, lifts the veil on the major scientific and technical challenges of digital ocean modelling, helping us to understand them better.
This five-episode educational mini-series takes us behind the scenes of oceanographic research in Grenoble and Marseille. Some episodes were filmed on amU's premises, at the Institut Méditerranéen d'Océanologie (MIO, amU/CNRS/Université de Toulon/IRD) and at the Endoume marine station. Guided by a science journalist and the famous voice of "C'est pas sorcier", you can meet passionate researchers who use innovative digital tools to understand the oceans.
