From October 4 to 14, the Fête de la science takes us on a ten-day journey of scientific culture: laboratory visits, workshops, science villages... In the South of France, the event is coordinated by Les Petits Débrouillards, and many of Aix Marseille Université's research structures are taking part. Here's a sneak preview of the program.

Every year, the Marseille Science and Innovation Festival showcases the region's scientific and technical culture, with its many and varied research themes and initiatives: biodiversity, health, human and social sciences, archaeology, astrophysics, arts & sciences... Over the course of a weekend, science meets everyone through surprising experiments and simple manipulations, alongside exhibitions, lectures, escape games and augmented reality tours.

What's atomic force microscopy?
The DyNaMo laboratory will be presenting its main research tool, atomic force microscopy, through scale games, and will be inviting visitors to discuss the mechanical properties of different materials.
Treating genetic diseases
A stand to discover DNA, genetic diseases and how researchers at MMG - Marseille Medical Genetics, are trying to treat them. Through playful workshops, these scientists will present their research and their tools from the ocean.

Inmed visit: diving into the brain
